At the birth of Jesus the host of the angelic army acknowledged the glory, the splendour and majesty of God by giving praise to Him who dwells in Heaven. This excerpt of Scripture is a brief hymn sung at Christmas and known as Gloria in Excelis Deo.

God’s intention is to offer peace and good-will to all men through the birth of Jesus.
