JESUS -THE WORD OF GOD REVEALED-
Jesus is unique, The Second Person of The Godhead. The Eternal Word is a person and that person is The Son of The Living God. He was never created. He had no beginning. The heaven-sent Son of God is The Only source of Eternal Life through Grace (undeserved Favour), He is The Word of God. Jesus has Eternal Life in Himself. He is Eternally Alive.
The Bible reveals that the Word of God is not a characteristic of God, but single within the Godhead, being The Son of God dwelling with God before Creation began. The Word, as The Son of God, existed in His own right. From Eternity He has not been distinct from within The Godhead.
Through the New Testament
it is made very clear that Jesus is indeed God,
revealed as The Word of God.
Jesus has had a face to face relationship with God The Father from the beginning, before time and space. This association was a very equal relationship along with The Holy Spirit. The Father and The Son have always been in a loving fellowship with each other. Jesus, The Living Word has always existed along with The Father and The Holy Spirit. All three persons of The Godhead, have the same characteristics and participate together in all events.
John the Baptist, a prophet chosen of God, bore witness to Jesus the Son of God's prior existence, that He was from the beginning. He took upon Himself a human body to make known truth and redeem mankind.
TLB John 1:1-5 Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. 2 He has always been alive and is himself God. 3 He created everything there is--nothing exists that he didn't make. 4 Eternal life is in him, and this life gives light to all mankind. 5 His life is the light that shines through the darkness--and the darkness can never extinguish it.
NIV John 1:1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with
God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without
him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was
life, and that life was the light of men.
5 The light shines
in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
-
TLB John 6-15God
sent John the Baptist as a witness to the fact that Jesus Christ is the
true Light. 7 8 John himself was not the Light; he was only a witness to
identify it. 9 Later on, the one who is the true Light arrived to shine
on everyone coming into the world. 10 But although he made the world, the
world didn't recognize him when he came. 11 Even in his own land and among
his own people, the Jews, he was not accepted. Only a few would welcome
and receive him. 12 But to all who received him, he gave the right to become
children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them. 13
All those who believe this are reborn!--not a physical rebirth resulting
from human passion or plan--but from the will of God. 14 And Christ became
a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness
and truth. And some of us have seen his glory--the glory of the only Son
of the heavenly Father!
NIV John1:9-15
9 The true light that gives light to every
man was coming into the world.
10 He was in
the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not
recognize him.
11 He came to
that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
12 Yet to all who received him, to those who
believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--
13 children born
not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but
born of God.
14 The Word became
flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory
of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John testifies
concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said,
'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.'"
16 From the fullness
of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
17 For the law
was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has
ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has
made him known.
God is concerned with the disclosure of Himself to mankind.
In Christ, God has expressed Himself to mankind. Christ's words have Sovereign power and as God's Word so is Christ, trustworthy, true, flawless, infallible, obeyed by angels, eternal, pre-existent, exalted above all things, it is living, active and enduring. The Word of God restrains evil, heals and rescues, saves and brought about The Kingdom of God.
The Bible reveals the Word of God and
that Word was in the beginning, was with God and is God. Jesus being The
Word of Life, is a straight forward declaration of Christ's deity, since
The Word is used to describe Jesus. The Word is the very quality of God
although still retaining personal distinction from God The Father. The fullness
of The Godhead and Christ The Word, are recognized. The Word possessed
nothing less than full deity. The Universe was made by The Word of God,
who is Jesus Christ, the second person of The Godhead. God'sWord has sovereign
power.
The words and deeds of Jesus are the words and deeds of God.
God spoke the universe into existence. God
spoke The Word at The Creation of all things. He spoke the galaxies into
being, stars burned in the heavens with The Word of unlimited awesome power.
He spoke again and the waters and land were filled with plants and creatures.
Again He spoke, male and female (the race of mankind) was formed. He created
everything from nothing and nothing is too complex for Him. Life exists
in Him. Christ is The Word of God who governs and maintains the Created
order, and sets apart those consecrated for God.
His Life was imparted to all living creatures. This Life was The Light of all mankind; the source of man's intellectual and spiritual discernment and his emotions. Christ was, is and always will be the Creator and Lord of All that exists. He has power over everything that exists. The Word of God has the power to destroy the World. Life is given through The Word. Just as God was manifested to the Israelites in the wilderness, He is manifested in The Living Word, The Written Word, The Spoken Word, The Word of Life.
The Word is The Truth, The Light, with which The Word was born into the world, a Light shining in the darkness of a dying, lost world. Love lightened the darkness, and to each one who accepts The Truth becomes a child in The Kingdom of God, forming a relationship with a Person, a Covenant Bond. Jesus Himself declares to The Life and The Light. He gives spiritual Life and Light. Christians are called 'the sons of light'. Jesus became man in order to reveal the Truth to all humanity that is born into the human race. The Word, The Son of The Living God is The Lord of Salvation of mankind. He is the Author of perfect revelation and redemption. The Word of God should not be hidden but be allowed to provide illumination to the world, in all schools and in all countries legally, both to help those who are in the darkness, separated from God and to provide growth to members of the Body of Christ.
Membership in God's Family can not be earned, it is a gift and the gift is dependent upon how each person's reception of it, to believe and receive or to reject.
God had chosen a people to whom He revealed Himself more frequently and much more fully than any other nation, but when He came He was not recognized and was rejected by most. In the Old Testament, the Israelites acknowledged The Word of God as the same as God.
Jesus as The Word of God truly shared human nature and body.
The Almighty Designer became part of His Creation, confined by time, space and age to rescue and give to mankind the gift of Eternity with Him. The Word as a human being came in the fulfilment of promises made.
The Word was made flesh in Jesus, The Christ, who was full of Grace. The Truth of The Word becoming Flesh is The Foundation of All Truth. His Life brings Light and Truth. He came to illuminate The Truth to mankind. The Word came as muscle and body, visible to human eyes, like mankind, and entered human life at a particular point in history. When The Word became 'flesh', He did not begin as a new person but continued His timeless relationship. The Word, Jesus Christ, Himself, who reveals The Father, is the active person in communication with the Father, it is through His Name and what He obediently achieved, we have access to God The Father. Jesus radiates the glory and perfection of God's Word, as is free from all impurity and exactly represents The Father's likeness.
The Word of God as Christ, is seen in the Works of Christ.
God explains Himself to be abounding in Goodness and Truth and Jesus applies this. His Truth was unveiled by divine manifestation of His Gracious Love for sinners, which was expressed as God, The Father's Son, who had lived in closest intimacy with Him from all eternity.
Human beings cannot see God as He really is, those who did see Jesus physically, saw God in a human structure the same as they for a limited time.
Jesus showed us God, The Father
clearly and accurately. He now lives and reigns as a resurrected person-The
First of a New Creation-
A Better Mediator of a Better Covenant.
The Word of God, Jesus, carried out and accomplished for us our Redemption, which was planned in Genesis at the beginning. In Christ is the perfection of God in human form, there is Love, Justice, Mercy and Forgiveness; the personal presence of God, the ultimate expression of Himself. The Eternal Word of God dwelt among His people. Jesus spoke the Father's Word. Jesus' Words have Sovereign power. Jesus revealed God The Father as incomparable, for Jesus is not merely a reflection of God, but is God Himself. He is the Absolute authentic representation. He is the Word of Life, in Hebrew 1:1, and Revelation 19:13, His Name is The Word of God.
The Gospel as The Word was preached by Jesus, and His Word's were spoken by The Apostles in the time of the early church, and has been preserved for people today giving life, spiritual growth, and having the power to save. People hear, understand and accept Christ, The Word deep in their hearts and retain all as He dwells in them. Believers trust, hope, live according to the Words of Christ, and obey them. Jesus' Words have all authority.
Jesus is the Creative
Word, He is The Word of Life and The Victorious Word, The Word Of God.
He is not to be abused.
Jesus is The Word, embodied in flesh; invested with a body of a human form.
The Word of God is the Name of Jesus Christ. Eternal Truth is embodied in The Word. The Word spoke to the prophets of The Old Testament and Christ is the Spirit of prophecy. Christianity is not a legal system or religious rituals, but a commitment to a Living Person. It was what Jesus has done for mankind personally. Religious ceremony cannot change a person because there is no life in it. The Word of God has the power to create, to sustain all of creation, has the power to heal, the power to give new birth, the power to judge the thoughts and attitudes of the hearts of mankind, the power to save people, to make believers holy, to give faith and hope to mankind and the power to fight against the enemy.
God's Word is exalted above all else, and is the two edged Sword of the Spirit. Christ is as God's Word is reliable, true, flawless, alive and active, eternal, enduring and will not return empty. To know Jesus, and listen to what He has declared and expounded about God, The Father, is to know as much as humans can know, what people are capable of knowing until He shall be seen as He is, when He appears at His Second Coming.
As The Book of Revelation quotes, Amen, Come Lord Jesus Come.
