The Holy Spirit Gifts shaped the Church on Pentecost day 50 days after Jesus' Resurrection. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to His believers on that day, from God, the Father. The Church was formed as The Living Temple of God, the believers being the Living Stones, for the Holy Spirit indwells the believers that are born again.

The Holy Spirit brought direction to the Body of Christ by gifts, grace, favour, the source for good advantages for the church to benefit from His anointing of infilling, and refreshing.

The Gifts of The Holy Spirit are special endowment to enlarge the work of Christ on earth and display the supernatural power of God. All three persons of the Trinity Godhead are involved in these gifts, graces and anointings.

The Holy Spirit abides forever. He is the third person of the Triune Godhead. He indwells believers, infills believers, produces fruit in believers, believers are sealed by Him which gives assurance of salvation. He strengthens the inner-man and directs, guides, leads a believer's steps in life.

The Holy Spirit equips believers in revelation, instruction, and empowering with Christ's Truths. He helps the believer's communication with The Father in prayer, worship, praise and thanksgiving. He quickens God's Word to believers.

The supremacy of The Gifts of The Holy Spirit empowers believers to reveal the sovereignty of God to the world. His power enables believers to serve God in many areas and build the Christian character.

The authority of The Holy Spirit and His Gifts strengthen the Body as a whole. His gifts are seen in the Church’s mission of witnessing and preaching. His gifts are seen in apostolic ministry, in signs and wonders.

The ability of The Holy Spirit is seen in the life of Jesus.
Jesus was conceived by The Holy Spirit-During the ministry of Jesus, He was anointed by The Holy Spirit- Jesus was led by The Holy Spirit-He was filled by The Holy Spirit-Jesus accomplished His ministry through The Holy Spirit-He offered Himself at the cross through The Holy Spirit-His commandments were and given through The Holy Spirit. Jesus offered the supernatural gifts to His followers.

Jesus is The Baptizer of The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit's dwelling presence is a pledge to the believer for future inheritance and gives assurance to them of their right standing in Christ and of their eternal salvation.

The Holy Spirit's own ministry is to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and judgement and to the believers His ministry is peace and truth.

and are to be an advantage to the Church.

A believer produces the Fruits of The Holy Spirit, which are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control.

Personal Infilling Gifts of The Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 14:1 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire
spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit. 3 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

The Gifts of The Holy Spirit listed here are mainly ministry gifts for public use but also for private use as The Spirit leads.
1Corinthians 12:1-14
12:1 Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.
2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.
3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.
There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 To one there is
given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,
9 to another
faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 to another
miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. 12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.
For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14 Now the body is not made up of one part but of many.

All Christians are appointed to edify the church and encourage others in love.
Gifts of The Holy Spirit are generous provisions of need which assist and help those in the Body of Christ in various ways through a great diversity of divine gifts. Believers are the beneficiaries of this graciousness of God’s endowment.
God gives individuals certain gifts of a spiritual nature of fulfilling specific tasks and they are to continually to desire greater spiritual gifts.

The purpose of supernatural gifts is their use for the good of all.

Everyone is accountable for every Gift given, and all Gifts are to be tested by doctrine in the scriptures of God.

There are 3 power gifts (to do)-faith, miracles, and healings.
There are 3 utterance gifts (to say)-prophecy, divers of tongues, interpretation of tongues.
There are 3 revelation gifts (to reveal)-word of wisdom, word of knowledge, discerning of spirits.

Gift of Interpretation of Tongues-is the ability given to understand and to fully explain the language spoken, of which the hearer has had no knowledge.

Word of Wisdom-to understand mysteries of God and to speak the mind of The Lord in solving problems and giving instructions. It is not the intelligence of this world but supernatural wisdom.
Word of Knowledge-to know certain facts given by The Holy Spirit about a situation without having any prior knowledge of the situation or the person involved, not natural knowledge, but supernatural knowledge. A special revelation of certain facts for a certain event or need or God's Sovereignty.
Discerning of Spirits-is a gift of The Holy Spirit to expose the identity of a spirit that may be holding a person captive in bondage or causing distress. This includes evil spirits, spirits of error and covers a discerning of human spirits.

Ephesians 4:11,12
11 It was he who gave some to be
apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

These anointed ministries were given to the church for the edification, strengthening and knowledge of God's Word and Doctrine to and for the saints. They did not end with the death of the first apostles and disciples of the young early church.

1 Corinthians 12:28
is a very interesting verse, it shows the offices of today along with spiritual gifts that some claim are not now necessary, yet they are listed and included with the other ministry roles.
28 And in the church God has appointed first of all

An Evangelist-proclaims the message of Christ which extends His Truth to unreached peoples- signs and wonders follow the teaching of God's Word by the evangelist-exhorting people to repent, believe and obey the Gospel of Christ-maintaining unity with churches-ordains elders and establishes order in churches.

A Pastor-is an under-shepherd appointed by The Chief Shepherd to tend a local area of believers in Christ- protects believers from false teachers- disciplining and guiding the local congregation.

A Teacher-brings the knowledge of The Truth to others- clarifying the application of the Truth to enable others to obey God's Word-organizing topical studies-provides motivation for further study of the scriptures-to carefully examine all doctrines and teachings to be in line with The Word of God.

Administration-oversight governing and finalizing discussions-being stewards of money and property.
Elder-is one whose ministry is mature and consistent with their age and experience.
Deacons- are to serve and minister to the poor-to pray for the sick-to serve the local church. Deaconess-to minister to local church-instruction to the women-interceding in prayer for believers and exhorting the word.
Helps-to help relieve the natural and spiritual burdens of believers and to support all ministries.
