-HEAVEN-

Heaven is the abode of the Living God. God dwells and supremely reigns in the transcendent world. It is also the house of the select angels and the redeem righteous of Christ, after death.

It is sinless and beautiful. The beauty and magnificence of this world is only a fraction of the magnitude and grandeur of the Heavenly realm. Heaven is a home beyond the description of beauty.

God is Sovereign of Heaven, His Kingdom rules over everything there is. God views earth from Heaven. God's habitation is where angels worship Him and serve Him.
All those in Heaven engage continuously in worship of God. Heaven is a place of love and peace, of comfort and of good things. Believers inherit a place in Heaven because they know of and believe the Work of Christ on The Cross.

Heaven is a real place. Jesus told us to '"lay up our treasure in heaven", "to set our affections on things above", for they will be eternal and not temporary like things of the earth, and great wonders await there. It is the eternal inheritance of all the saints, including the Old Testament saints.
Jesus told His disciples to pray to God The Father, who IS IN HEAVEN.

Jesus' pre-existence was in Heaven. It is the place where Jesus ascended to, after His resurrection and is now with God The Father. His Second Coming to the earth will be from heaven. When Jesus ascended as hundreds of people watched, He went to A REAL PLACE in Eternity, not just to a state of mind or to an illusionary place. The names of believers are written in heaven.

Luke 10:20, Jesus said, "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN".

1Corinthians 2:9, The Apostle Paul, who had been taken to the third heaven quoted, "Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who believe Him, but God has revealed it to us through His Spirit," so that the blessings can be comprehended from the depth of God's plan of Grace. Heaven has glimpsed by human eyes in visions.

God is worshipped in song and His will is perfectly carried out in Heaven. The fullness of life in heaven is wholly sustained by God. The redeemed will share Jesus' authority.

Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of the righteous, who are the saints, (believers), it is where the righteous are rewarded. It is the everlasting home of the redeemed of all mankind. Death shall be abolished at the end of the Millenium reign of Christ. Mankind can not explain the change from the Millennial Kingdom Reign to The Eternal State, except God's Word promises to care for royal and righteous subjects.

Heaven is an actual Place created by God. It is the Holiest of all, the very Throne Room of God; it is the original of all that has ever been shadowed here on earth in the Tabernacle of Moses and The Temple of Solomon. Zion is the spiritual centre of life among God's people and symbol of Heaven.

Literal Zion is geographically on earth, it is situated on the borders of Judah and Israel, and named Jerusalem. Zion is a symbol of The New Israel, The Church and the limitless dwelling place of God. Zion was prophesied to be a city for all peoples. Believers of all nations and tongues will abide there. Referred also to as the Third Heaven, it is the very centre of all things and all things revolve around it according to God's will, power and purpose. It is the place where the spirits and souls of believers go at the time of their death, awaiting their resurrected body.

Believers inherit eternal fellowship with God in Heaven. Heaven is the perfect and eternal state, A Holy City, The New Jerusalem. The Heavenly Zion is also called The Bride of The Lamb, because it is The City Christ has prepared as the home of His glorified saints.

His Saints are those who are ransomed, redeemed, who dwell within, together with The Immortal God. It is a Holy City because it is The Tabernacle of God.

The Nation of the saved shall walk in His Light.

Revelation 21:23 "The City does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light and The Lamb is its lamp". The New Jerusalem is divinely created in the dwelling place of God. Life in the Heavenly Holy of Holies is fully sustained by God. God's Will is perfectly done in Heaven.

The believer is safe from the second death, from suffering, God's wrath, and separation from God. Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for His own and that where He was, they would be also. It will be a place of light, love, holiness, righteousness, joy, happiness, singing, peace, and life eternal because Jesus, mankind's Redeemer will be there. The presence of God will banish all memory of earthly troubles. Heaven is the secure inheritance of priceless value that is awaiting for the redeemed of God.

Music and worship is hinted at being prominent in Heavenly Jerusalem, done unto the glory of God, as well as having increased in the knowledge of God.

Heavenly Jerusalem is the community of the redeemed, and will be filled by all peoples and languages. The Heavenly City of The Living God is the gathering of the Church belonging to the firstborn and is a place far better than here on earth.

Heaven is where the redeemed are rewarded and given their resurrected body.

A believer's life will not be complete until present in Heaven. Saints will walk with God and have a personal, intimate friendship, perfect fellowship for Eternity with God.

Believers are citizens of the heavenly Jerusalem; it is the destination of the righteous after death. There will be restfulness. There will be no more sea, no darkness, no tears, crying or pain, weariness; agony will be gone, no more thirst, hunger nor heat, no more death. Heaven is filled with the light of God's glory.

Redeemed believers have been offered to live forever in God's presence, it is not to be an immortal being. All created things are dependent upon God who alone is immortal and has life within Himself. The redeemed do not become gods. There will be a new heaven that will completely replace the old. The saints will then have a glorified, incorruptible body at Christ's return and share in His Glory.

The Bible shows that in time there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and from there all eternal activity will proceed. The redeemed will worship and minister to God The Father, and unto The Lamb in the New Jerusalem, The City of The Living God, for the former things are to pass away. The city is a cube, symbolizing perfection and secure protection.

This Celestial City is prepared as a bride by Jesus, The Author and The Finisher of the believer's faith.

Hebrews 12:22,23, "But you have come right up into Mount Zion, to the city of The Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the gathering of countless happy angels and to the church, composed of all those registered in heaven; and to God who is Judge of all; and to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven, already made perfect; and to Jesus himself, who has brought us his wonderful new agreement".

God's redeemed people are symbolised as a Holy City. The City will be filled with God's Glory, and will be The Tabernacle of God. There will not be need of the sun or moon, for light shall come from the Glory of God Himself.

The City comes from God for it was built by God. The City is glorious and destructible.

Together, Jews and Gentiles are the inhabitants. It is built of the most costly materials; its beauty is beyond human understanding. Life in the Heavenly Jerusalem will not be spent in idle laziness but offering fitting worship to God. They bear His name and share His glory. The redeemed shall see the face of God, for sin will be no more. It is a place separated from the wicked and all evil.

Heaven is stately, higher, superior mode of existence and from there God rules all the universe. Paradise is the garden of God and is a heavenly reality. The Kingdom of God is without end throughout space and eternity.

Heavenly Jerusalem has the river of the water of Life flowing from God's Throne down the middle of the great street of the City. Inhabitants see God face to face serve Him and reign with Him forever and ever.

The Tree of Life is only mentioned twice in God's Word. At the beginning and at the end in The Heavenly Jerusalem. God has provided for mankind in all His glory. On each side of the River of Life stands The Tree of Life. The eternal Tree of Life is restored to man in the heavenly paradise and the River of Life will flow from The Throne of God and of The Lamb.

All are called to have eternal life; each individual has a choice.

To be redeemed and enter Heaven, to be with God and all the saints for eternity, a person must humble themselves as a child and ask forgiveness, ask for Christ to be their Saviour, and thank Him for dying on the cross to make it possible. There can be no sin in Heaven. Heaven is the secure inheritance of priceless value for the redeemed of God. All those who are adopted into God's family because of Christ are heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The service of the redeemed will be rewarded and the rewards will vary. Heaven as a place, is a Divine gift for the redeemed . Preparations are made for believers. The redeemed owe their place in heaven solely to Jesus Christ. In Heaven, Jesus acknowledges the redeemed as His own; they will possess His likeness. The period of time will be closed, and the heirs of salvation will behold the manifold wisdom of God.

The believer is safe from the second death, Jesus said he was going to prepare a place for His own and that where He was, they would be also. It will be a place of light, love, holiness, righteousness, joy, happiness, singing, peace, and life eternal because Jesus, mankind's Redeemer will be there.
