ACCURACY OF THE BIBLE

Despite opposition to The Bible, it remains triumphant as the most widely published and read Book in the World, throughout the history of mankind. The truth found in the pages have changed the lives and destinies of countless people.

The Bible itself declares to be The Inspired Word of God. Christ himself taught The Word of God was not in error, He accepted all Books of The Old Testament as authentic. The Apostles confirmed The New Testament by writing about issues that were taught by them, all of which are found in The Old Testament. Fulfilled prophecy shows the accuracy of God's Word.

Christ affirmed His eternal existence prior to the Creation of the world. Christ accepted the reality of Satan. Christ accepted Genesis at the Beginning as an actual fact, including Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel, of Noah and the realities of a world-wide flood.

Christ taught of His pre-existence before Abraham, and the events that took place in Abraham's life. Jesus talked about the judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah. Christ accepted the account of Lot's wife.

The Jewish Nation has always celebrated and observed special days to commemorate events with ceremonies or festivities, to make known publicly; to proclaim and to sound praises to God and extol Him. They perform with appropriate rites and ceremonies three yearly religious Feasts to commemorate their past.

Moses under the direction of God commanded that the Passover Feast was to be distinguished to remember the death of the first born of Egypt, the night of the Exodus when the first born of Israel was spared as they fled from Egypt out of bondage.

The Second Feast was Pentecost, celebrated 50 days after Passover, at the arrival at Mt. Sinai, where The God of all power met them in the dessert and passed religious, moral and civil Laws to Moses. The Jewish forefathers were witnesses to these factual events and willingly celebrated them for they were free from bondage and God had delivered them through the crossing of the Red Sea and provided food and water for them.

The Third Celebration was The Feast of The Tabernacles, where all the nation would build temporary booths, usually made out of palm leaves and live in them during the festive time, for this was to remember how God had guided, protected, fed and provided for the nation during the wilderness years before being given the Promised Land. This was both a festive occasion and a solemn time before the Lord.

Because of the witnessing of these miracles of God, they observed these Festivals of remembrance annually in gratitude to God and to pass the truths down to other generations. If these supernatural events did not happen, there would be no anniversary festivities to remind them of what their forefathers knew and were part of, in the plan of God.

Jesus confirmed that Moses was the writer of the first five books of the Bible. Jesus mentions the feeding of manna by God to the Israelites in the wilderness and the miraculous healings of those bitten by serpents.

Jesus spoke of Old Testament miracle stories. He authenticated the events in the lives of Elijah and Elisha. He validated the story of Jonah and other characters mentioned in The Old Testament.

Christ stated that the Book of Isaiah was written by the prophet Isaiah and the prophet Daniel wrote the Book of Daniel. This puts to rest the controversy that surrounds these books regarding the prophecies and the authentic writers.

The fact that Jesus attested to the accuracy of the Old Testament absolutely verifies the inspiration of these writings as directed by God. The Word of God, Jesus attested, cannot be broken, it establishes the reliability and the complete Divine authority of all The Old Testament.

After these confirmations of historical events ordained by God being approved of by Christ, it would be astonishing to dare to deny the truthfulness of these events.

"It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the law." Luke 16:17.
Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and was Himself, the fulfilment of the Law.

Jesus rebuked Satan and was victorious during temptations by using Old Testament Scripture. If The Word was not inspired and anointed by God, it would not have had any effect over the enemy. Jesus also won His arguments against the Pharisees and Sadducees by Scripture versed from The Old Testament. Undeniably Jesus knew and took The Scriptures of God's Word as trustworthy and accurate in every word.

"Until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen will by any means disappear from The Law until everything is accomplished".
Matthew 5: 18.
Jesus declared that the equivalent of crossing the letter 't' could not be dropped from the Scriptures nor it be found deficient; He repeated this teaching of no fault in Scripture many times, and preached accuracy of all scriptures.

The Apostles and disciples ascertained the authenticity of Jesus' teaching from the Old Testament and His miracles and of the doctrines and truths of the early church.

During the past few centuries there have been negative attacks regarding great truths of The Bible. Humans have attacked the belief of Creation and sadly these philosophies and theories of mankind have filtered down though to public educational systems which now teach human theories instead of the trustworthy Word of God.

The testimony of events and characters in The Bible by Christ settles the matter. Jesus' authority claimed that the Scriptures are God's revealed Word to mankind, free from mistakes, accurate on any subject, infallible messages from God Himself to the people of His Creation.

SCRIPTURE-Daniel 9:2, Romans 3:2, Ephesians 6:7, 2Timothy 2:9, Hebrews 4:12.
